Production Manager
Dates: May 27-June 24, 2025

The Production Manager provides support in organizing production logistics for ENCORE Chamber Music Institute’s 2025 summer festival which includes:
7 Music & Ideas Concerts
6 Summer Academy Concerts
15 ENCORE in CLE community concerts
The Production Manager is a full-time position requiring evening and weekend hours from May 27th through June 24th, 2025. The first week includes remote work before arriving on-site by May 30th. The Production Manager will work with ENCORE staff to create an in-person work schedule. Benefits of the job include attendance at ENCORE season events and exposure to ENCORE’s distinguished artist faculty.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Pre-Festival (Includes remote work)
Curate a concert management protocol in collaboration with the House Manager
Coordinate with venue staff regarding stage set-up, stage lights, etc.
Create a list of production needs for each concert including dressing room assignments
Coordinate with venue staff for lighting/audio staffing needs (venue contact details will be provided by Head of Operations)
Provide support in preparation for the First Day of the festival
During the festival
Dress rehearsal management
Document stage set-up and lighting needs for each piece
Communicate the documented stage needs to respective personnel: Direct the team of Audio Engineers, Lighting Director (on site), and stage crews comprised of work-study students
Communicate any logistical or programmatic changes made during rehearsal to the Head of Operations and Artistic Director
Dressing room management
Prepare Rider Items, snacks and water for each concert
Dressing room signage
Concert Management
Manage stage set-up, lighting direction, set transitions, and backstage artist management - communicate to artists backstage when they are “on deck”.
Ensure smooth operation of concerts in collaboration with ENCORE’s House Manager
Other tasks and projects as assigned by the Head of Operations or Artistic Director of ENCORE
Qualifications:
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Demonstrated verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to take initiative
Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks at once with a positive attitude
Knowledge of classical music and interest in an arts administration career
Must have valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Appreciation for the mission of ENCORE Chamber Music Institute
Conditions:
$4,000 compensation for 4 weeks
Host family accommodation provided
Rental car provided for shared use between House and Production Managers

House Manager

The House Manager assists the Head of Operations and Artistic Director with the organization and management of box office, audience experience, and front-of-house logistics for ENCORE Chamber Music Institute’s summer festival.

Pre-Festival

Curate patron-experience evaluation system
Coordinate with venue staff regarding house open/close times, box office needs, house lights, etc. (venue contact details will be provided by Head of Operations)
Prep communications to ticket holders for each concert in collaboration with Production Manager and Operations Manager
Provide support in preparation for the First Day of the festival
During the festival
Manage event setup, adjusting to aesthetics of event space (room layout, signage)
Delegate audience entry and ticket scanning process and responsibilities with work study students
Contribute to enhancing the patron-experience of the festival and oversee the evaluation
Collaborate closely with Production Manager to ensure smooth operation of concerts
Other tasks and projects as assigned by the Head of Operations or Artistic Director of ENCORE

Assistant to the Artistic Director

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to join our team as an Assistant to the Artistic Director. This position is an essential part of the administrative team during our June season supporting the Artistic Director in collaboration with the Operations Manager and acting as artist liaison with the Summer Academy faculty and visiting artists. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the arts, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to manage a wide range of tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The Assistant to the Artistic Director is a full-time position requiring evening and weekend hours from May 27 through June 24th, 2025. The first week includes remote work before arriving on-site by May 30th. The Assistant to the Artistic Director will work with ENCORE staff to create an in-person work schedule. Benefits of the job include attendance at ENCORE season events and exposure to ENCORE’s distinguished artist faculty.

Coordinate travel and logistics for the Artistic Director and artists/faculty
Provide support in preparation for the First Day of the festival
During the festival
Act as a liaison between the Artistic Director, concert team, and artists/faculty
Assist with the planning and execution of performances
Help with coordination of logistics of Summer Academy and Music & Ideas Festival
Assist in overseeing on-site production details and ensure all artistic needs are met during events.
Other tasks and projects as assigned by the Head of Operations or Artistic Director of ENCORE
