The ENCORE Camerata Concert features string quartets made up of participants from our Summer Academy. Viewed as “the most perfect expression of human behavior”, the art form of string quartet requires both the composer and its performers to concentrate on the bare bones of musical logic.

ENCORE’s Summer Academy is for young solo violinists, violists, and cellists who want a challenging and thought-provoking learning experience. The Summer Academy program focuses on vitalizing the daily routine, building a life-lasting habit of practicing, and is recommended for students preparing for college auditions, competitions, and/or concerts. During the program, students practice intensively, improve technique and artistic communication, and perform in a variety of settings. The three-week program invites fifty exceptionally gifted young artists ages 13 to 23.
